Ramp Spacing Evaluation of Expressway Based on Entropy-Weighted TOPSIS Estimation Method

The main objective of this study is to design a method for evaluating the reasonability ramp spacing expressway in specific district. proposes an entropy-weighted Technique Order Preference by Similarity Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) estimation method, which entropy weight determines indicator weights, and TOPSIS employed compare different alternatives spacing. Four patterns evaluation indicators are taken into account representing traffic efficiency, safety, accessibility, economy, respectively. Using Beijing–Hong Kong–Macao Expressway Henan Province as case study, validity verified, optimal obtained 14 km given scenario. results show: (1) extreme values not conducive overall benefits expressway; (2) settings that allow coordinated sharing demand along route (TDAR) prerequisite have great benefits; (3) appropriately shortening will effectively respond increased TDAR. proposed provides theoretical reference local authority plan can satisfy regional ensure expressways sustainable urban context.
